The following are some websites that you might find quite useful in your journey into learning another language. This list will grow as the semester goes on, and please feel free to let me know any resources/website you find helpful so that I can post them for your peers' benefit!
WordReference offers great translations from English to Spanish, oftentimes providing translations for specific phrases. Look into their "Forum" section for words that might not be translated -- people from all over the world help translate specific phrases
Quizlet is a website that you can access through Pflugerville ISD. You can use the website to practice each unit's vocabulary and there are a few games to play that help make the process less mundane.
This link is to my personal account where you can request to become a member/student and access the flashcards that I've made for each unit.
The Real Academia Española (RAE) controls the words and definitions of the Spanish language -- each Spanish-speaking country has an RAE that allows new words and definitions to enter the language. Utilize this website for its amazing dictionary and other great resources!
Lexicoon is a great online resource that allows you to enter a Spanish word and it provides you with all sorts of information about that word (definition, origin, synonyms, part of speech, examples, etc.)
DuoLingo is a great site for both beginning Spanish speakers and others in more advanced courses. The website provided tutorials and simply tests your knowledge of different areas of the language.
Yabla is a nice resource to have if you would like to experience interviews, music videos, etc. in Spanish, from native Spanish-speaking people. The website allows you to listen/watch the interview and look at subtitles in both English & Spanish, providing a well-rounded Spanish immersion experience. If you download the APP for your iPhone/smartphone, you can set it to make you practice for so many minutes a day, at various levels.
